Design note is basically a template. It defines layout of the documents created based on this template. It also contains the built-in scripts and controls activated during derived document creation. This design note can not be neither modified nor read by the user except changes with Domino designer.
Exporter for Lotus Notes can read design notes to obtain the list of defined fields and to display these fields in the Fields control of the program.
